Here are some required forms you will need when exporting with Jade International.
The Export process:
Required Paperwork
To set up with Jade you will need:
- Power of Attorney or SLI (Shipper’s Letter of Instruction)
- Business Information Form
- Cargo Insurance Questionnaire
Documents required for each individual shipment:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Schedule B/HS numbers
- Any additional documentation required for the country of importation
- Terms of the shipment along with your clear instructions before we can begin the shipment i.e. warehouse shipping & receiving hours, lift gate requirements, contacts, etc.
Arrange shipment: Working with shipper/supplier, you, our agents, and carriers to set the shipment in motion based on your instructions. We will handle the documentation for your export shipment which includes AES submission, chamberization, legalization, preparation of Certificate of Origin, etc.
Payment Terms: For first time client with Jade, we require payment in advance prior to release of your shipping documents. After the initial shipment, you can establish credit terms which our accounting department will review and advise to you.
What should you expect from us?
Our clientele should expect a premium service with fast response times. We will provide you with insurance if required. We will also see that the government agencies are complied with, and we will send you copies of our documents regarding the shipment.

IMPORT FORMS
Here are some required forms you will need when importing with Jade International
The Import process:
Required Paperwork
To set up with Jade International you will need:
- Customs Power of Attorney (Required by Customs regulations)
a. If the Company is an LLC – we will need a copy of the Articles of Formation of the LLC
b. If the Company is an LLC, Partnership, Foreign or Sole Proprietor – we will need the 2nd page of the POA completed
c. Proof of ID – we will need a copy of the driver’s license and business card for the person signing the Customs POA

Documents required for each individual shipment
- Commercial invoice,
- Packing lists
- HTS codes
- Terms of the shipment along with your clear instructions before we can begin the shipment i.e. warehouse shipping & receiving hours, lift gate requirements, contacts, etc.
Arrange shipment: Working with shipper/supplier, you, our agents, and carriers to set the shipment in motion.
Clear Shipment: Submission of documents if required and the electronic information to CBP for proper entry.
Delivery of Shipment (As per Incoterms): Set up and delivery of goods once the necessary payments and releases are in place.
Payment – In most cases we will advance payment of duties and taxes once credit has been established. For new importers our policy is to not release shipments until clients have paid us on their first three shipments or until credit has been established. It is the responsibility of the importer to pay US Customs the duties and taxes required with 10 days from the entry date. Terminals and carriers will also require payment prior to the release of goods. It is important to remember that demurrage, detention, and Customs exam charges (if any) are for the account of the importer of record if any are accessed, so proper and timely payment is essential.
